About Me

I'm Doris Szombati, mother of two, and the Due Cuori story really began with them. The name means two hearts in Italian. It got this name because of Sofi and Domi, because without them it probably never would have become more than a hobby.

I didn't start photography because it had been my dream since childhood. I simply wanted to take beautiful pictures of the people I love. Then somewhere along the way I found myself realizing that other families, couples and stories had become just as important to me.

Many people get nervous before a photo session. They're afraid they'll feel awkward, that they can't pose, or that they're simply not photogenic. Yet in most families' lives, an ordinary weekday is a much bigger challenge than a photo session. The morning scramble, arriving on time, the where's the other shoe?, or when it feels like the end of the world completely out of nowhere because we ran out of bananas.

Compared to that, a session with me is more of a little pause. An hour or two when you don't have to be perfect. There's time to laugh, chat, snuggle up, and meanwhile the pictures that are truly about you come to life.

There's no awkward posing, no pressure to keep up. Most people start out saying we're really hopeless in front of a camera, and by the end it usually turns out they're not at all.

I'm not looking for perfect moments. I'm looking for the real ones.

With me you don't need to know how to pose, and you don't need to be photogenic either. It's enough to come just as you are.

I've gathered the most common questions to help you understand more easily how a session goes, what's worth preparing for, and how you can book an appointment.

This is completely normal — and not a problem at all.
Children don't need to smile the whole time or sit nicely. Often it's exactly the spontaneous moments that produce the most beautiful photos: while playing, giving a hug, while running around, or when they snuggle into mum's lap. My sessions always adapt to the child's pace.

Of course, yes.
Almost every family says this at first. Most people simply aren't used to being photographed in natural, beautiful light with proper guidance. You don't need to know how to pose or perform well in front of the camera — I'll help you through it all.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourselves.
Light, natural, mutually harmonizing colors usually work most beautifully. It's best to avoid large patterns, text or logos, and neon colors. After booking, I'll of course help with specific outfit ideas too.

This depends on the package and the type of session, but usually around 45–60 minutes.
I don't like to drag sessions out, especially with children — this much time is usually just enough for natural, beautiful moments to emerge.

Yes — and this is far more common than you'd think. 😊
Most dads relax completely by the end of the session, because they realize it's not about stiff posing but about being together. Often they're the ones who enjoy it most by the end.

The session can take place in the studio or outdoors, depending on the mood of the photos you'd like.

I usually love to shoot the outdoor sessions in the soft light around sunset, because that's when the mood is most beautiful and intimate.

The delivery time for finished photos is usually a few weeks, depending on the seasonal workload.
My goal is always for the photos to be not just beautiful, but timeless, carefully crafted memories.

Not much is needed.
If there's a favorite toy, snack, change of clothes or anything that helps your child feel calmer, it's worth bringing. The most important thing, though, is not to stress about it — the session should be a light, easy experience.

The ideal time for a maternity session is usually between weeks 28–32 of pregnancy.
During this period the bump already shows nicely, but most expectant mothers still move more comfortably and feel more energetic.

Of course, every pregnancy is different, so if you're unsure about the timing, I'm happy to help find the period that suits you best.

The ideal time for a newborn session is usually the first 14 days of the baby's life.
During this period babies still sleep a lot, are calmer and easier to position, so the photos also tend to have a sleepier, softer, newborn feel.

Of course, it's no problem at all if you can only come after this period. Beautiful photos can be made then too — simply in a slightly different mood. With more alert, active babies, more eye-contact, movement-filled, natural moments are born.

Before the session we discuss what mood of photos you'd like, and I'll help with choosing clothes too if needed. The session itself takes place in a calm, casual atmosphere — no rushing or uncomfortable posing. I'd rather you experience it as time spent together. After the session you can pick your favorite photos, and then I'll prepare the final retouched gallery.
